Hypermetropia (also known as long sightedness or hyperopia) is a defect of vision caused by an imperfection in the eye. LASIK is a recently developed operation, which can correct both long and short sightedness and also astigmatism. Hypermetropic Laser-Lasik consists of using an excimer laser and the procedure is done on one eye after the other.
