It is our hospital's mission to provide medical attention of the highest quality with personalized attention in a warm and welcoming environment. When our hospital opened in 1998 we voluntarily entered a certification process. We became the first private hospital to be certified in the state of Quintana Roo and the only one in Cozumel.

Information about your leading medical staff

Cozumel Medical Centre was founded on January 3, 1998. After a lot of planning and a lot of hard work, Dr. Ricardo Segovia, and his partner Dr. Robert Chris Schumacher came upon a vision to create an international leading-edge hospital in Cozumel. The hospital would count with a group of bilingual and certified specialists, backed up by a modern infrastructure in order to bring the necessary attention to the growing local and tourist population.
All physicians affiliated to our medical team need to be bilingual and have to be certified by their specialty council.
