How much will it cost?

The cost of treatment will vary based on your individual requirements. We can however assure you that the cost will be significantly lower than private care in the UK whilst delivering world-class quality treatment to you.

To give you an idea, a typical cardiac bypass surgery in the UK can cost around £18,000 through private healthcare. We can provide the equivalent around £6,000 - £ 7,000, excluding flights, a substantial savings of £11,000.

Do you give medical opinions and advice?

Although we have medical expertise and a history of organising medical treatment abroad, our policy has been not to provide medical advice. Some of our partners can offer pre-treatment advice and opinion should you require it.

Our approach however, will ensure that the information collected will allow the medical team abroad to give appropriate advice and treatment. 

Do I have to tell my G.P.?

Although going abroad for medical treatment is your choice and decision, we advise customers to inform their G.P. of the proposed treatment. Your G.P. may also be a point of contact with the after-care in which you receive when returning to the UK. 

Which medical centres can I go to?

Which medical centres can I go to? - Currently we have medical centres in India, Turkey, Poland and Singapore for all types of treatment, Serbia for dental, cosmetic and IVF treatment, Croatia for minimally invasive spine surgery, Cyprus and Hungary for dental treatment, France for knee and hip replacement and South Korea for minimally invasive spine surgery and cancer treatment. We are however looking at other destinations that we will introduce to our portfolio over time.

India has emerged as a world-class healthcare industry over the years with many of the doctors having worked or trained in the US, UK, and Germany. For example, one of our partners in Mumbai regularly collaborates with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation for heart surgery, USA (ranked 4th best hospital in the USA).

What about “after-care”?

Depending on your treatment you will be advised on the “after-care” program. We will also be a point of contact for 6 months after the treatment if you have any questions.

He has been sending patients abroad for treatment for over 12 years and it is his expertise and relationship with key doctors and hospitals that ensures The Medical Tourist Company can offer the finest treatment for it's customers. His medical knowledge also allows us to differentiate ourselves from our competitors.

Because of his wide experience in medical tourism he has been invited as a speaker to many international conferences on medical tourism. He has presented papers at Indian Medical Tourism Expo in Mumbai, India in February, 2006, Medical Tourism Asia conference in Singapore in February, 2007, International Medical Travel Conference in Manila, Philippines in November 2007 and Medical Tourism Conference in Belgrade, Serbia in November, 2008.

Dr. Vibha has been sending many patients to India for specialised surgeries since last 12 years. This helped her establish relations with leading hospitals and doctors in India. With this vast experience of sending patients abroad she joined The Medical Tourist Company Ltd. as a director. She has a good understanding of the requirements of both the Western patients and patients from developing nations.This helps her prepare the patients going abroad to go with confidence.
