What services do you provide?
Our staff takes great care in providing the best possible physical matches between egg donor and recipients, as we understand the importance to our patients that they are physically matched with highly appropriate egg donors
Our egg donation program is based on a continuous flow of oocyte donors. Our Bank has a wide range of donors from every section of the community (young students, young moms, young working women). They are primarily recruited among university students although, before being accepted, they undergo strict health testing and personal interviews in order to select donors with exceptional egg quality, free from sexually transmitted diseases and without a family history of hereditary diseases. They also have to pass an interview with our psychologist to determine their readiness to become an egg donor.
At IVI Alicante, all donors are screened by our own staff (donor egg team, gynaecologists, lab technicians and psychologists) which involves knowing the donors as individuals in order to recommend matches for our patients. Our donors are extensively screened and tested for Hepatitis B and C, HIV, and Syphilis, blood type and chromosomes (kariotype) and past medical history assessment of themselves and their families.
