AllMedicalTourism.com’s Procedure Reputation Scoring
How is the Procedure Reputation Score (PRS)
calculated? AllMedicalTourism.com brings together a
number of qualitative and quantitative factors to create an overall PRS score
for any one country. These factors include accreditations of the facilities in
country, World Health Organisation (WHO) statistics of medical care quality,
primary and secondary research, and feedback from patients and medical
providers in country. What is the purpose of Procedure Reputation
Scoring? The purpose of PRS is to provide you with a
starting point for comparing medical options at an international level. With a
massive variety of options available and vast differences in pricing for the
same procedure in different countries, our scoring aims to provide you with a
simple guide to develop a shortlist of countries that warrant further research
for your healthcare. Is PRS generic across all procedures within a
specific country, or specific to individual procedures? The PRS system is specific to individual
procedures within a particular country; some countries may be extremely skilled,
accredited and score well in one procedure (for example heart bypass),
yet underperform internationally and score below par on other procedures (for
example various types of dental surgery). Is the PRS system intended as a guide or
accreditation? AllMedicalTourism.com's PRS system is only a
guide. It is not an accreditation for a specific country and does not relate to
any specific medical facility or provider in that country. It is designed
to provide a comparative guide for you when considering a multitude of
countries. Please make sure that you undertake your own investigations,
research and questioning of medical providers and doctors at any medical
facility overseas (or domestically). Does the PRS system provide a guarantee of
treatment quality? The PRS system provides no guarantee of
quality of treatment. Please ensure you undertake any references and
research to make certain you are independently satisfied with the quality of
any medical facility or provider. The Procedure Reputation Score for a specific
procedure in a country is lower than I expected or have experienced – how come? If
the score for a procedure in a country is lower than expected, it is likely
that we do not currently have a medical provider in that country listed who is
considered of a high reputation. We’re always looking for high quality
medical providers and facilitators to list, so if you are aware of any in a
specific country, please let us know. |
